Job Title: Master’s Thesis in Quantum Key Distribution for Electrical Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electrical Engineer to work on a Master’s thesis in Quantum Key Distribution (QKD). The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research and development in the field of QKD, and will be expected to work closely with a team of scientists and engineers to develop new technologies and techniques for secure communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research in the field of Quantum Key Distribution
  • Design and develop QKD systems and components, such as photon sources or detectors
  • Implement and test QKD protocols and algorithms
  • Analyze and interpret experimental results
  • Write technical reports and scientific papers
  • Collaborate with team members and other researchers in the field


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Possibly: Some background in quantum mechanics and cryptography
  • Possibly: Familiarity with QKD protocols and systems
  • Experience with experimental design and data analysis
  • Possibly: Programming skills, preferably in Python or MATLAB
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
